    Description

    This beautiful decorative coffee server is 11" tall including the lid,  it is s
    igned by Mathew Adams. No visible chips or cracks. Please view the pics, there is a speck of glaze gone off the tip of the lid  button and a flake on the underside rim of the lid and the top edge of the lid with a bit of crazing. Neither is visible when displayed.
    The following info is from  “Collector’s Encyclopedia of Sascha Brastoff” .
    “Mathew Adams exclusively painted all of Saschas’s “Alaska” ceramic line. These pieces were originally designed by Sacha for the Juneau, Alaska, tourist market. After delivery from the southern California factory, a paper label declaring “Souvenir of Alaska” was affixed. Ironically, many were purchased by California tourists and brought right back to the southland! Upon leaving Brastoff’s company, Matt Adams was granted permission to continue producing “Alaska” pieces. There are signed “Mathew Adams” or “Matt Adams”.
    An online resource suggested Adams worked for the S. B. company in the 1950’s.
