I have had this piece on display in my home for a long while now, and I had no idea it was an ashtray. I just thought it was super cool and beautiful!  It complemented the other awesome large plate I have of his and didn't think twice, until now... i clearly see it is an ashtray.  I am assuming his signature has been cleaned off through the years.  There are chips on the front as indicated in the pictures. Also, it looks as if something was adhered to the back and removed, possibly.  In any case there is wear to the back.  Regardless... it's really beautiful as a decorative piece.
This piece measures about 10" in diameter and weighs about 1lb and 7 oz before shipping.
