Vintage SASCHA B Brastoff Ceramic Dresser Box Trinket Signed Orange Leaves MCM

Description

A beautiful and unusual example of a vintage, ceramic lidded box by Sascha Brastoff.  This one measures about 5.5" x 4".  It is painted all over in a distinctive orange-red glaze.
The top is decorated with fall leaves, bittersweet berries and wheat, with touches of metallic gold.  The decoration incorporates several "bubbles" or dots of glaze to give it a dimensional effect. (it was hard to photograph this, but the design on the top is not strictly a flat, painted design).
Signed SASCHA B on the top of the lid.  This piece does not have a sticker or the rooster logo, so most likely dates to between about 1953 to 1961.
